Malcolm and Ed have been working together for over 30 years and he has been a partner of Dubois Naval Architects since 1995.
From his early days living in Fiji, he has a keen interest in sailing yachts, being able to briefly sail on many yachts as they cruised past. His interest in yacht design was further reinforced with time spent in Hong Kong where he sailed at every opportunity on the building fleet of offshore racing yachts.
He first met Ed in 1976 when he was chosen to design a yacht for the Hong Kong Admirals Cup team called Vanguard. This gave him his first trip to the South of England and to race on the Solent.
Developing new concepts and shapes, optimising performance and working on getting the proportions of a deign right is his real passion.
