Imagine II
43.5. (142.7') Sloop

The first Imagine design was built by Alloy Yachts and launched in 1993. This was a landmark yacht for both Dubois and Alloy Yachts as it was the first vessel to be built by that company for a non New Zealand owner. At that time Alloy employed fewer than 40 people. They now employ 340 people.

Imagine was a very successful yacht - innovative in design layout, fast and supremely seaworthy. She won her class in the 1994 Nioulargue regatta and was admired wherever she went worldwide.

Always beautifully maintained she has cruised extensively all over the world with her second owner who, somewhat reluctantly, decided to part with her and move on to a larger yacht in the same "image" as Imagine but longer - at 44 metres.

Imagine II is a very modern yacht in terms of hull form, keel and rig design, performance and interior layout but her style, while still modern and up to the minute, harkens back to her famous forebear.

Construction commences in 2008 for a 2010 launch. This will be a very special occasion - fully 17 years after her younger sister was born and inevitably reminding all involved of the tremendous volume of work and enormous achievement of both designer and builder in the intervening period.
