St. Barths Bucket

The St. Barths Bucket 2010 had a strong presence of Dubois designed yachts in the shape of Salperton with her slightly smaller sister Artemis, Ganesha and Destination Fox Harb’r who all enjoyed some great racing.

The latest Salperton raced for the first time in St. Barths this year – showing great speed. She will perform again in Sardinia and also in the Palma Regatta this year. She is also scheduled to take part in the Rolex Maxi Regatta in Porto Cervo in September.

There was some controversy over the ratings system used in the St. Barths Bucket. Our feeling is that it is difficult to handicap so many yachts of different style. However, this whole area of the relatively new racing for superyachts is under discussion by the industry and the sport as a whole and we expect some good solutions to arise quite shortly.
