Nacarat

60ft Catamaran

Overview

Nacarat is a medium displacement cruising catamaran, developed to provide the best of fast cruising and, at the same time, to be easily handled when short crewed. Her exterior styling inherits the classic ‘Dubois look’, with curved wraparound glass, so familiar amongst superyacht fleets around the globe. This same glass offers near 270-degree views from the spacious main saloon.

The large, sheltered cockpit provides seating options on both sides, with dining for 8 – 10 to port. With sail sheeting operations being handled on the roof level, the cockpit is a relaxed zone and in port or at anchor allows access aft to launch the tender off the davits or reach the water via the stern steps. So as to maximize the full potential of the covered cockpit design, there is also a sun-pad area at roof level. The main bridge deck saloon offers a truly stunning living space with elevated seating areas to starboard, for dining and lounging (the raised seating ensures excellent views of the water while seated). The galley is located to port, ideally positioned for servicing the dining areas inside and outside in the cockpit.

Nacarat’s in-hull accommodation provides three generous double cabins, each with ensuite facilities. The starboard hull is given over to the Owner, with a large double cabin aft, containing a king size berth. There is an Owner’s study area, which leads onto a luxurious ensuite with twin basins and a large shower compartment.

A small crew cabin with ensuite is provided in the starboard bow, accessed from the deck.

The sail plan provides a well-balanced wardrobe of sails, including a high aspect ratio, square topped mainsail, 100% blade jib, 140% genoa and staysail. All headsails are set on furling stays for ease of use. The mainsail is slab-reefed but could also be handled by an in-boom furling system.

The choice of appendages was a key decision from the outset of the design, with a focus on providing good performance, without over-complication or lost internal volume. The end result has been the simplicity and security of fi xed keel fi ns and skeg-hung rudders.

Nacarat will be extensively cruised in the Mediterranean and Aegean.
