  • Design 234 - Corinthian
  • Corinthian, a 34.8 m. (114.0') cruising sloop, was launched from Alloy Yachts International, New Zealand, January 1994.

Corinthian's superb styling, innovative systems and exciting sailing performance were fully recognised by the Superyacht Society in crowning the vessel Superyacht of the Year in the 23 m. to 36 m. category for 1994.

The interior is executed in tiger grain maple and leather to complement the modern, sleek lines of the exterior. The ambiance is luxurious, but discreet.

Flooded with natural light the main saloon has a formal dining area for 8 guests. Opposite is a coffee table and relaxing seating, with direct access to the pilothouse from both areas.

Each cabin has an ensuite marble finished bathroom, entertainment centre, telephone and airconditioning. The master stateroom has it's own entertainment centre with a television and casual seating. There is a queen size bed, dressing table, ample storage and a full sized bath in the ensuite.

Corinthian performs admirably undersail, with an easy motion and slight angle of heel. A carbon-fibre mast with in-boom furling mainsail, furling genoa & staysail and a large MPS ensure fast cruising. Joystick controlled captive winches and bow & stern thrusters enable Corinthian to be controlled entirely from the cockpit.

To emphasise Corinthian's smooth lines, a push-button hydraulic system was introduced to swing the anchor over the bow, from a concealed locker below desks.

The opening transom provides easy access for watersports, whether the choice be swimming, diving, waterskiing or a ride on a jetski.
