Construction of Tiara, a 53.4 m. (175.2’) fast cruising sloop, began at Alloy Yachts International in February 2002. She will be built in aluminium and launched early in 2004.

Tiara benefits from the now very extensive experience of sailing superyacht design accumulated by Dubois Naval Architects; specifically in three distinct areas:

i A thorough understanding of very large sailing yachts in terms of hull form and construction.

ii A unique approach to space planning. The willingness and ability to look at all the options so as to best reflect an owner's preferences and ideas, while still retaining a firm understanding of what is in the yacht's best interest with regard to handling and seaworthiness.

iii A comprehensive understanding of rig design and sailing systems on large sailing yachts.

These 3 ingredients permit the efficient design and construction of ambitious projects such as Tiara.
