Azure, a 40' IRC Racing Sloop, was developed from Victric IV's successful winning formula. She was constructed by Richard Faulkner Composites in the United Kingdom and launched from Ireland in May 2001.

Azure made her debut at the Scottish Series where she won the opening offshore from Bangor to Tarbert.

Then in June 2001, Azure competed in class 1 at the Kinsale Regatta, finishing 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1. Azure was overall regatta winner taking the Kinsale Sovereign's Cup.

Her racing successes continue.
