Cavo D'Oro, when designed in 1994, was something of a departure for DNA. A powerful looking, 45 knots sports boat (60' LOA) her hull underwent extensive tank testing to ensure that she would have a smooth ride at high speeds. Intended to be a comfortable, private commuter boat between the Greek Islands, where it can often be very rough, Cavo D'Oro has a deep V hull and is driven by twin MTU engines through Lips waterjets. The design mixes a certain retrospective look at the racing powerboats of the 60s era with the most up to date machinery and equipment, soundproofing and interior accommodation.
