Imagine was the first yacht built by Alloy Yachts for a non-New Zealand owner. The owner, a Swiss national, owned the Camper and Nicholsons built Mustang and would have preferred the yacht to have been built there or at Abeking and Rasmussen (this was in 1991, when Alloy Yachts had not really been heard of outside New Zealand). However, the faith Dubois had in Alloy Yachts and the price advantage convinced him that he should build there. The yacht was a great success in all respects. Launched in mid 1993, she went on to win the Nioulargue Regatta Big Boat Series in 1994 and is still performing extremely well. She still looks modern, clean and sleek. Imagine is one of her designer's favourite yachts. Her VAT is paid.
