Victory - 1981 13.4m. (43.9') Admiral's Cup Racing Yacht
Part of the victorious British Admiral's Cup Team in 1981 along with another Dubois design, Dragon, Victory was a controversial boat. The outstanding yacht of the season in England, she had been mis-measured and was the cause of a rating "scandal" when she sailed in America in 1982. However the yacht was then bought by Bob Butkus of Los Angeles and went on to perform extremely well in the Clipper Cup in 1984 and the Big Boat Series in San Francisco. She was initially owned by entrepreneur Peter De Savary who went on, very creditably, to challenge for the America's Cup in 1983.
