35m Super Stern
35m High-Performance Sloop
Overview
Designed for an existing Dubois owner, (who is no stranger to the regatta circuit), the design is intended to be a fast competitor on the race course whilst not compromising on superyacht luxury and comfort for family-orientated, blue-water cruising.
The high-tech hull is designed for carbon fibre construction with a structural Nomex core and vacuum infused epoxy. She’ll feature a twin-rudder arrangement, high-aspect ratio fin and bulb keel – lifting to allow unrestricted cruising – and above deck a regatta-winning sail wardrobe with a flattop mainsail, blade, code and bowsprit-set gennaker.
Making her unique, however, and catering for that pre and post-race down-time, is the convertible stern platform – opening through 180 degrees to expose a sheltered ‘beach club’ arrangement with a swimming/boarding platform. This area is directly accessible from the master cabin and in that sense provides private access to the water and a secondary aft-deck space.
Stowage for a 3.3m tender is also provided beneath this folding platform, with the tender crane concealed within the boom.
The interior layout provides for a full-beam owner cabin with en-suite, two twin guest cabins – both en-suite, and forward there’s accommodation for two crew in twin bunks starboard and a captain’s double to port.
The build yard and interior design team is still to be decided for this exciting vessel, but we believe she will be on the water by summer 2017.
